True craftsmanship isn’t learned overnight—it’s built over decades of hands-on experience and dedication to mastering every detail. At Modern Masters Refinishing LLC, our story began in 1985 in New York, where our founder trained under some of the finest finishers in the industry. In those early years, he developed a deep respect for the refinishing process, learning the time-honored techniques that separate true refinishing from basic painting.

After refining his skills in New York’s elite cabinet shops, he brought his expertise to Florida in 1988, working as the head finisher for Levitz Furniture before being recruited to restore high-end furniture for a white-glove transportation company. In 1999, he took a leap and launched his own refinishing company in Delray Beach, serving the community for 15 years before pursuing another passion—professional fishing. But craftsmanship is a calling, and seeing the need for expert refinishing in Lake Placid, he decided to bring his unmatched skills back to homeowners who value true quality.
